Neurodevelopmental Treatment

Neurodevelopmental Treatment, also known as NDT, is a therapeutic approach that is designed to help individuals with neurological disorders improve their motor function and achieve greater independence in their daily lives. This approach is based on the principles of neuroplasticity, which suggest that the brain can reorganize and adapt in response to new experiences and learning opportunities.

NDT is often used to treat individuals with conditions such as cerebral palsy, stroke, traumatic brain injury, and other neurological disorders that affect movement and motor function. The goal of NDT is to help individuals improve their posture, balance, and coordination, and develop greater control over their movements.

The treatment may involve a combination of exercises, activities, and functional tasks that are designed to challenge and strengthen the individual's motor skills. The therapist will also provide feedback and guidance to help the individual develop a better awareness of their body and movements, and learn how to use their muscles in a more efficient and effective way.

The NeroDevelopment approach is used for the management and treatment of individuals with central Nervous System Pathophysiology. The individual's strengths and impairments are identified and addressed as functional abilities and limitations.
